Langstroth 3/4 Hive Body

The Langstroth 3/4 Hive Body – 10 Frame is an intermediate‑depth hive box designed to balance generous storage capacity with manageable weight. Made from high‑quality American pine, it combines strength, stability, and light weight, making day‑to‑day hive management easier for production apiaries and hobby beekeepers.

Its 3/4 depth sits between a full deep body and a medium super, adding extra room for honey and pollen without reaching the heavy weight of a fully loaded brood box. It can be used as a honey super above the brood chamber, as an intermediate box to extend the brood nest, or as part of hive setups that use mid‑height bodies to reduce the effort required to lift each box.

The hive body is supplied empty and fully assembled, ready to accept 3/4‑depth frames or medium frames depending on your preferred configuration. Interior frame rests are cut to support standard Langstroth frame top bars, while the milled handholds on the sides provide a secure, comfortable grip when moving, stacking, or breaking down the hive. Because the wood is untreated, you can finish it with oil, paint, or sealer tailored to your local climate and management style.
